Tips for Long Hair
It all starts with your scalp. Healthy scalp creates an environment for healthy hair - it affects the rate of hair growth and the health of the hair. Taking good care of your scalp helps blood and nutrients to reach the hair follicles
Wash your scalp with mild shampoo to get rid of oil, dirt and product buildup. Make sure you massage the scalp while shampooing to increase blood flow and stimulate hair follicles. You can also go for a scalp massage to rejuvenate.
Apply oil to your hair twice a week.
Hot oil scalp massage is a great home remedy for long hair. It not only provides comfort but also increases the thickness of the hair (1). Applying oil to the roots provides nutrition and helps to make your hair long and strong. It also helps to revive the dead hair shaft.
Use coconut, lavender or almond oil to massage your scalp and promote hair growth. Here's what you can do:
Apply warm oil on the scalp and massage gently with your fingers.
Apply oil to your hair and let it soak.
Wrap a warm towel around the scalp for 10 minutes to better absorb the oil into the hair. Leave it on for 1-2 hours.
Wash your hair with cold water and mild shampoo.
Reduce the frequency of shampooing.
The purpose of the shampoo is to remove dirt and build up from the hair and scalp. But using it on a daily basis can make your hair dry, wrinkled, brittle and at risk of breakage. Some shampoos contain sulfates, and overuse can damage your hair. So, choose a sulfate-free shampoo based on your hair needs and type. Make sure it is light to avoid removing the natural oil from the hair.
When shampooing, be gentle - apply foam to the scalp and let the sods go down the hair. When wet, your hair becomes softer and rubbing the shampoo too hard on soft hair can cause breakage.

Gently dry your hair.
Drying your hair with a towel increases the chances of breakage. Use a soft towel or vintage T-shirt to pat and dry your hair.
Don't use bath towels to dry your hair as they make your hair rough and tangled, tangled and flyway. Instead, use microfiber towels that are thinner and have a higher water absorption capacity. They also reduce the time it takes for your hair to dry.
Note: To avoid heat damage caused by blow dryers, dry your hair in the air and limit the use of flat irons such as heat or thermal styling tools. The hot air from the blow dryer evaporates the moisture from the hair, causing it to burst.
Use a wide-toothed comb.
Long hair is susceptible to tangles, but brushing daily helps to remove wrinkles and large knots. Use a wide-toothed comb for your hair. When your hair is dry, start combing from the bottom and then slowly work upwards. It removes knots and prevents hair from pulling, damaging and falling out.

Wet hair stretches more than dry hair and breaks easily. So avoid brushing your hair when it is wet. If you want to separate it, gently work through the knots with your fingers.
. Trim your hair regularly.

Cut back on hat styling tools.
Excessive use of heat styling tools such as straighteners and curling irons can damage your hair. These tools reduce the thickness and shine of the hair which makes the hair dull and dry. Therefore, reduce the use of these devices. Instead, curl your wet hair with a towel without any heat.
If you can't completely avoid heat styling, be sure to use a heat protector. This product acts as a protective barrier on the hair shaft, prevents damage and ensures smooth and wrinkle-free hair.
Change your hair style.
Ponytails and similar hairdos look great, but tight hairstyles put pressure on the roots and cause hair breakage. Try loose hairstyles to avoid pressure on the cuticles. Loose top nuts or tops are great for showing off long hair. Also, use hair bands that do not pull the roots.
Choose hair nourishing products.
Long hair needs special nutrition. Chemical shampoos, conditioners and styling products can have negative effects on hair in the long run. Prolonged exposure to chemicals and their accumulation is harmful to the health of your hair. To avoid this, use a mild, mild shampoo and conditioner to hydrate the hair. Also, use a heat-protective spray before blow-drawing or styling to create a barrier between the hair and the hair styling tool.
